Translating climate insights in action

I'm a climate strategist focused on building and implementing sustainability programs in complex organizations. By combining analytical assessment with practical implementation experience, I help translate climate and ESG considerations into actionable strategies.

Current Focus

Building climate resilience into investment decisions at scale.

At Oxford Properties, the real estate investment arm of the OMERS pension fund, I joined a newly-formed sustainable investing team where we've built our ESG program from the ground up across an $81B global portfolio. My role focuses on strategic implementation - from developing frameworks for assessing climate risks and opportunities to engaging with portfolio companies on sustainability initiatives.

Physical climate risk integration. I'm developing a comprehensive physical climate risk assessment framework across Oxford Properties' global portfolio. The goal is to move beyond basic risk identification toward creating an integrated adaptation pathway - essentially a roadmap for how climate considerations inform our investment decisions over time.

Working with 230+ assets so far (~25% of our $81B portfolio), I'm translating climate projection data into actionable business intelligence. This involves not just identifying vulnerabilities, but establishing decision frameworks that help determine when and how to adapt, invest further, or transition assets.

Shaping the market. One of the most interesting aspects is collaborating with climate data providers to refine their offerings. Too often, data products are built without deep input from the investment teams who need to use them. I work directly with providers to shape tools that actually support portfolio management decisions rather than just checking compliance boxes.

Looking forward. While much of climate risk work focuses on managing downside, I'm increasingly interested in how this same analytical framework could identify investment opportunities - areas where climate adaptation creates value rather than just preserving it.

Approach. My work spans the full spectrum of climate integration:

• Building and implementing our physical climate risk assessment program from concept to operation

• Developing comprehensive ESG due diligence frameworks used by investment teams globally

• Advising transaction teams on sustainability risks and opportunities in live deals

• Co-leading engagement with portfolio companies on sustainability strategy and implementation

• Leading stakeholder engagement (spearheaded Berlin ESG Summit with 40+ investment leaders)

• Creating training programs that have upskilled 400+ investment professionals

My path has been shaped by diverse experiences across policy, research, and consulting:

Strategic Advisory → At Urbanomy (EDF), led urban decarbonization projects using advanced modeling, working directly with cities to implement climate solutions

Systems Implementation → At AECOM, managed £850,000+ in climate resilience projects for institutions like the World Bank and EBRD

Research Foundation → At Stockholm Environment Institute , focused on climate adaptation and knowledge translation.
